Kayali Cafe
ENVIRONMENTAL · RETAIL DESIGN
OVERVIEW
Designed an in-store pop-up for Kayali across 8 Sephora Canada locations, built around the launch of Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 42. The concept took the sweetness of the fragrance as its literal and spatial starting point, translating the brand's playful, indulgent DNA into a dessert café environment that felt like stepping inside the bottle itself.
The Kayali Café came to life through an all-pink palette, candy-striped awning, checkerboard flooring, and a central fragrance bar dressed with gold cake stands and illuminated lightbox panels. An oversized sculptural bottle of Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar anchored the space as a hero prop and photo moment, while a house-shaped pink shelving unit merchandised the full fragrance lineup in a way that felt curated and giftable.

OUTCOME
The Kayali Café drove strong engagement across all 8 locations, with the immersive environment giving customers a reason to stop, explore, and post. By framing fragrance discovery within a dessert bar narrative, the experience lowered the barrier to trial and made the full product range feel approachable and cohesive. The hero bottle prop and checkerboard café floor became the most photographed elements, extending the activation's reach well beyond the shop floor.
